SPEAKER PROFILE

I am a qualified accountant with over 20 years financial experience, My career started with a formative couple of years working for a small firm of chartered accountants in Liverpool, then after a year of working for New Balance I joined the NHS where I have been for the last two decades.

My NHS experience has covered working within both commissioning and provider organisations, with the last 6 years being spent in West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group. My journey towards Business Intelligence started 4 years ago, when we in-housed a team of two analysts and started to provide the service ourselves. From here my passion has grown for using data to make intelligent and informed decisions, so much so that in September 2019 I changed roles so that I can focus solely BI by becoming the Associate Director of Business Intelligence for the 4 Cheshire CCG’s.

The team of 2 has now turned into a team of 10 highly motivated staff who are keen to unleash the power of data to anyone that will listen. Our portfolio of work for 2019/20 is ambitious (If not a little frightening), but we want to turns words like, Predictive Analysis, AI, Algorithms into a useable content to actually make a difference to patient care.
