Steve has worked in the field of data and analytics across numerous companies, and is currently the Country Manager, Bulgaria, for MariaDB, where he’s helping to develop analytics offerings.

Prior to that, he was a co-founder and CEO of MammothDB, a big-data analytics database company acquired by MariaDB. Before Mammoth, he was CEO of Xentio, a business intelligence software consultancy. Before founding Xentio, he was the CEO of Sciant AG, a 300-person software company, which was subsequently acquired by VMWare.

He’s been a teacher of entrepreneurship at the Sofia and American University, and is an active speaker, with his Ted.com speech having over 600,000 views.
